The 2021 National Juried Painting Exhibition is a juried biennial exhibition featuring piece of work by some of the top-ranking contemporary painters from beyond the country.
This exhibition celebrates the vitality and breadth of practise within contemporary painting throughout the United states. Supporting events include an awards anniversary and gallery reception, and a lecture and gallery talk past juror and guest artist, Susan Palmisano. The exhibition and events are made possible through the generous back up of Partners for the Arts.
The awards ceremony and lecture presentation past Palmisano, will exist hosted virtually through Zoom, on September 30, starting time at 7 p.m.
In making selections, I looked for piece of work that was both technically strong and conceptually challenging. I likewise looked for piece of work to stand for a diversity of styles, techniques, and visions, including those that challenge the boundaries of the painting subject area or others that excel within the confines of tradition. The resulting exhibition brings together a chorus of rich and varied creative voices, representative of today'southward painting practice.
